What can a 1031 Exchange do for you?
A §1031 Exchange permits the deferral of federal capital gain taxes (15%), depreciation recapture (25%), and state taxes (generally 8% to 9% where applicable).
For the §1031 Exchange to qualify for safe harbor tax deferral, sale proceeds must by held by a Qualified Intermediary, such as Rocky Mountain Land 1031 Exchange Company, LLC.
